Workshops selection
Decorative Mushroom in Clay
In this playful workshop, each participant will build 3–4 hand‑built decorative mushrooms (4–6" tall), adding textured details that give each piece its own character. For a finishing touch, you will paint your mushrooms with underglaze. Ideal for beginners and intermediates. Tools, materials, and guidance are provided in a supportive, social atmosphere.
Fantasy Corals in porcelain
In this hands‑on workshop, sculpt delicate, creature‑like, porcelain sea creatures, tube worms, and corals using the slab technique. Roll and cut ultra‑thin slabs, then build organic forms by layering and pinching. Porcelain's slow, responsive nature encourages careful, refined work—ideal for experimenting with fine detail.
Along the way, you will learn to handle porcelain's unique properties and finishing methods that enhance texture and contrast, so your finished artwork reads as delicate undersea sculptures.
Expression of the eye in clay
The expressive focal point of the face. Joël A. Prévost demonstrates practical techniques and shares shortcuts for shaping lids, sockets, brows and subtle surface details that convey emotion. Through guided exercises, you’ll practise proportion and anatomy to create convincing, expressive eyes.
